Muck Up Day

So, yesterday was muck up day.

For all you guys that don’t know what that is, and I’m not sure how many of you there are but hey, I’m not expert on what happens in different parts of the world, I’ll explain it.

Muck up day is essentially the best day of school. It’s the last day of normal school for the 6th years [We’re talkin’ 17-18 year olds I think?] before their exams start and they go wild. There’s nothing to be done about it. I’d say they get the run of the school but that’s not really the case. They’re not actually allowed in the school and are usually locked out, but that didn’t stop 50 of them charging through the English corridors armed with water pistols, eggs, flour and shaving cream.

Since it’s the last day of school, they bring in a shit load of the aforementioned equipment and have a field day. Kids get covered in flour and eggs and the likes. They egged cars last year, actually. I actually got attacked by some whipped cream [shaving cream? Idk] yesterday. They had a pool and one of those water slides too. There were a couple of kids dressed as Mario and Luigi haha.  If you weren’t in 6th year and were caught with eggs you got excluded :O

Some former muck up days in our area included the highers stashing a fish above the ceiling tiles, and at the other high school they got 3 chickens, labelled them 1, 2 and 4 and let them loose in the school. Then one year they put a rape alarm in a hielium ballon and it floated to the top of the hall and the teachers couldn’t get it down.

Super pumped for my muck up day. Just two years to wait! Apparently I’d make a good leader but I doubt that.
